About me

I feel privileged that my clients invite me on their journey of growth, healing and discovery. I strive to honour their trust with warmth, authenticity, openness and compassion.

Hey, I’m Nick.

My full name is Nicholas Croucher, but you can call me Nick. I’m a clinical psychologist and have been treating clients in a private practice setting since 2014 where I’ve helped people struggling with a wide range of psychological difficulties. Prior to that I worked in a community setting with individuals suffering from severe mental health difficulties such as schizophrenia, chronic bi-polar and personality disorders. These experiences have given me an appreciation of the challenges faced daily by individuals living with psychological difficulties, as well as those faced by their friends and family. Time and again my work has taught me that people are incredibly resilient. Also complicated. Super complicated. I’m passionate about helping people to understand themselves better, figure out their feelings and help them get unstuck so they can change the patterns of their lives that are no longer serving them.

As a Clinical Psychologist registered with the Psychology Board of Australia, I’ve studied and utilise evidenced based approaches to help people overcome negative psychological symptoms, improve their relationships and achieve more meaningful and fulfilling lives. I incorporate Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Schema Therapy, Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and mindfulness.
